It’s incredible that we’ve gotten to the point where the President of the United States’ address to the UN now mimics times in the past where unhinged dictators got up and rambled and aggrandized themselves and everyone had to just sit there and wait for it to be over.

The most baseline test of every leader right now is whether they will stand with and defend the people being targeted by the fascists. If a person can’t even stand in solidarity with them, they don’t deserve your vote and shouldn’t be trusted with power.

Ezra Klein is funded by billionaires who are using him as a mouthpiece to convince Democrats and liberals to embrace Republican policies and stances and cement the political consensus. The fact that this is happening without hardly anyone talking about it is just wild.

It's instructive and revealing to see a college president who oversaw the expelling of students protesting the killing of innocent people advocate for schools to start hosting "difficult speakers" who want to strip away rights from people of color, women, and gay and trans people.

It's really strange to get an email from someone asking what the people can really do to stand up to a fascist government while watching the Nepalese force out a prime minister and carrying out a full-fledged revolution because of corruption.

It really doesn't get discussed enough that the major tech firms are working with the Trump Administration and ICE in carrying out this program of terror. It just gets portrayed as Trump and his goons doing this awful business, but the capitalist structure is firmly intertwined.
