LLMs are bad at discriminating generated content from not-generated content; if they were good at it, the generated content would immediately become that much better because you would have a new discriminator you could build in

It is most likely some sort of backroom act of trade or political pressure, of the same sort that had a junior official threatening the Papacy a few months ago. Bully power, rather than bully pulpit. But, as 00s of authors smarter than I have already argued, soft & hard power must walk hand-in-hand.

The silence is conspicuous: virtually nobody in Toronto who can do anything about it, or running to be in a position to do so, is talking about the police despite the biggest scandals in the force's history of late. What's up with that? I dig into it in my

The woke scolds are trying to make this about racism. But Musk is right. It's about historical and scientific integrity. When the God of Thunder disguises himself as a swan to seduce and fuck a queen and the resulting baby hatches from an egg, *of course* the baby will be white. It's just science.

Canada's main strategic challenges are downstream of it's population & economy being only 1/10 the size of its neighbour & primary trading partner. The gov's strategic imperative ought to have been doing everything to close the gap instead of spending decades distracted by petty domestic squabbles.
