The only direct interaction that Dawn ever had with Coren was about Rupert Myers harassing women….When he celebrated her death people focused on a different tweet about his dad being famous (one that didn’t even @ him) but that’s not the one that got under his skin….

If you ever find yourself wondering how things like the Epstein story happened, consider the mid-level newspaper editor who admitted in a public judicial inquiry that he destroyed a woman’s life and drove her to suicide to try and impress Piers Morgan.

Sharing from a friend, a passage from the Leveson Inquiry regarding the British actor Denholm Elliott, who died of AIDS in 1992. Three years after her death, the News of the World journalist Paul McMullan did the following to his daughter—neither a celebrity nor even someone of public interest.

Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

You don’t get points for publicly exposing one important friend of Jeffrey if it then emerges most of the media/political class was 100% on board with secret wrecking campaigns and relentless lying to the public that was being orchestrated under the table by Peter Mandelson, do you.

Your regular reminder that Palantir started out as a way to expose sex workers to police violence, then expanded to allow cops to spy on anyone they pointed at while barfing out the word "gang". Fascists *created* Palantir, but useful idiots approved of everything done to grow it.

... rather than fund these kinds of online projects to create these spaces for online youth work, or to properly regulate SM companies, or even set up their own, they just talk about bans. It's never about increasing a capacity to act, just clumsily obviating 'harms'.

In the research into online sex and relationships young people are always saying how much they value user generated content from social media (but that of they want advice they'll go to websites like BISH). They need safe spaces online to do this (would also recommend The Mix and Scarleteen), but

I have something I call The Harry Redknapp Rule, which goes thus: if someone is caught, by fluke, doing something wildly, intricately illegal - in Redknapp's case, placing dodgy cash in a Monaco bank account in his dog's name - then it is vanishingly unlikely that this is their first such crime.

If we’d learned in 2018 that e.g. Seumas Milne was passing privileged government info to a secret network of influence-peddling sex offenders led by the world’s most notorious nonce - do you think the lads would struggle to understand why that had grave implications, far beyond Milne’s office?

The public are absolutely correct to view politics as a stitched up shitshow of bent crooks. The Starmer project is conclusive proof of it, beyond all reasonable doubt! And that isn’t the public’s fault, there are very specific people who deliberately did this, and they have names and addresses.

There are no rules, they don’t actually care about respect, decorum, bipartisanship or debate, and only pretend to do so to browbeat you into submission. Nothing is going to change until more people realise that and respond accordingly; including to the media and politicians who have failed them.

Also, when reporters start talking about the chatbots this way, it is imperative to remind them they are basically asking a toaster for comment. They should be a lot more embarrassed about this than they currently are. “Grok told CNN…” no it didn’t. You typed stuff into an unreliable calculator.

I’d urge you to consider just how extreme a person’s views would have to be, for them to stand up and tell a crowd “I went to genocidal fascism Disneyland, and I was blown away by all the freedom and equality” in 2025.

There are plenty of links between the anti-trans “women’s rights” movement & anti-feminist conservatism. And opposing abortion is a logical conclusion for a movement that says no, you should not have agency over your own body; no, you do not know best about yourself; no, you have no choice.

A lot of headlines recently about “record levels” of breastfeeding in certain areas but this doesn’t tell us anything about how these families are doing when it comes to infant feeding. Are these babies gaining weight? Avoiding jaundice? Are the chest feeding parents getting sleep?
