It is clear that Israel's ongoing actions in Gaza constitute a genocide. When governments avoid the term genocide, it is not because facts on the ground are unclear. It is because the implications are inconvenient. We must call it what it is and do all we can to stop it.

History will not describe what is unfolding in Palestine as a war, an invasion or just an occupation. It will describe it as a genocide. In yesterday's debate, I once again called on the government to recognise this.

At £1,214, the UK child citizenship fee remains one of the highest in Europe. Many kids with the right to citizenship miss out because their families cannot afford it. It was great to meet with Lambeth Citizens to discuss our ongoing campaign to reduce these fees.

The last government failed sickle cell patients. Now the Sickle Cell Day Unit at the Royal London Hospital faces trial closure. This week, I asked ministers to deliver a national strategy for specialised sickle cell treatment.

Great to be on the picket line at Lambeth College this morning with @ucu.org.uk members as they push for fair pay and action on unmanageable workloads. Further education has long been neglected, with staff seeing some of the worst pay cuts in the education sector.

I've written to Notting Hill Genesis Housing Association and Crabtree about heating and hot water issues at Darcus Howe Apartments, ongoing since December. This situation is totally unacceptable. They must restore heating for residents without further delay.

With sickle cell anaemia now the fastest growing genetic condition in the country, we need more capacity, not less. Closing the Sickle Cell Day Unit means delayed care, worse health outcomes, and more pressure on the NHS. Please sign and share the petition below.

The attack on Venezuela and the kidnap of its President was a blatant breach of international law. Threats towards Colombia and Greenland show the US is willing to violate it again. The UK must call it for what it is. Staying silent only invites other leaders to follow suit.
