Double Take debuts today on SKTCHD, as @oliversava.bsky.social and @davidharper.bsky.social are going to be discussing comics they have big thoughts about in this new column. And it all starts today with the return of LAZARUS, and where the series fits in the world with LAZARUS: FALLEN.

The second is that I am somewhat surprised myself by how delighted I am to get to play in the DC sandbox again. It’s just been a terrific experience top to bottom.

I don’t tend to shout about LAZARUS: FALLEN as much, despite the pride I take in that book (which I genuinely feel is the best I’ve ever done in comics). Perhaps it’s due to believing that the audience for that book has, in the main, found it.

AI industry horrified, Drew McWeeny delighted. I hope this lawsuit works and goes full scorched earth on this shitty industry.

This Monday has felt like an entire month.

If someone asks me to recommend a comic for a non-comics reader, I never knee-jerk push my own favorites. I ask what they enjoy in other media. Talk to them. Maybe your tastes align, great. If they don't, don't center yourself in the equation, center their interests. There's a comic for everyone.

Fascinating. Microsoft emailed me to say it was raising the price of Microsoft 365, but when i went to cancel it offered me me the old price — without all the AI bullshit. It’s forcing AI on everyone and making them pay more for it, then only telling them they don’t have to if they try to cancel.

I also do just fine so I'm not looking for anyone's sympathy but I did once comment that in Av:Endgame, many of those thanked were retired or unwell and they could have been give a million each without it ever touching the first afternoon's box. I don't think the game is rigged but it's not fair.

I don't use WeTransfer but sometimes collaborators use it to send stuff to me. I'm gonna have to go out of my way to tell collaborators on my books not to use it.

Working inside a giant media company, we have always been strongly discouraged from using outside services like WeTransfer, and while that can be a pain in the ass, it’s also the only real way to avoid sudden and terrible ToS changes like this.
