Nothing like a Photoshop crash to brighten up an already shitty day.

I was once lucky enough to hire John Roshell to design a title treatment for a TV show. It didn't end up getting approved—the production team had hired a type designer to design all of the type for the show unbeknownst to the marketing team—but the experience is one of my favorites from my career.

It's one of those weird things caused by my career—I have favorite font designers. And Rian Hughes and John Roshell are always on that list.

It is too freaking hot to still be January.

Goddamn it, not Catherine O’Hara!! So talented, funny, and smart. I met her precisely once, very briefly, while walking my dog, and that 30 second exchange just solidified my crush on her. (She stopped to pet my dog; I would never bother a celeb in the wild.) We are less for her passing.
