My character flaws in a nutshell: I’m reading a book that I actively hate because I was excited by the reviews, they were wrong, and I want to talk shit. But I feel like I have to finish the book in order to be able to talk shit with impunity. A rational response would be, “not for me…”

How I'm walking out of 2025

We kept a tally for 2025: Fraction went on 11 paddleboarding adventures, marched in 5 protest marches, took 1 trip to the ocean (his first ocean adventure), and went on countless e-scooter and e-bike rides all over #Portland. Such an adventurer, and such a good boy! #dogs #dogsofbluesky #PNWdogs

Formative text for me: good illustrations of weird animals arranged so they rhyme. Michael Frith, who also illustrated Reptiles (etc) Do the Strangest Things, later collaborated not only with Dr Seuss but with Jim Henson, on some Sesame Street books and the designs for Fraggle Rock. Unsung hero.
