Tonight we're looking at Cryptids of Washington Collection #1 by Monica Gallagher (I don't believe she's on here). It's a small zine on really high quality paper, and has an overall great design.

My son is failing a college and career prep course and last night when I sat down to go over the assignments he's missing, I was shocked at the amount of pressure his school was putting on him to have his entire life mapped out at the age of 16.

when I was starting out, (pre-internet) I asked another artist a question about buying the chemicals to make a blue line (again, very long time ago) & they said they weren't going to tell me because I was competition & that's when I decided I'd never be a dick like that to another artist

I had A Mind Forever Voyaging on the Apple II when I was a kid. I remember I was really drawn to the box art. It came with all kinds of cool supplemental stuff in the box, like maps and a notebook, but also I never figured out how to actually play the game. Probably finished like 5%.

I feel like the amount of "did you see this dipshit on Twitter" content has gotten exponentially worse over the holidays. Like any brain dead dork, I like to follow some of the bigger accounts on here, but I'm gonna have to cut back if it's just gonna be a parade of matt yglesias tweets.

Does my idealized/imaginary person keep their zines in the little drawer next to their bed? The night stand. Or do they stuff the zines in a magazine rack next to their couch? Next to the toilet? What trails do zines leave in one’s life?

I have a few difficult problems to solve. First problem: What is the context for zines? How are they supposed to exist? Where do you find them, where do you read them once you’ve found them, what do you do with them when you’ve read them?

Nothing like working on your last day of vacation because half your coworkers are morons.

Not sure I've ever seen the losing team turn the ball over on downs after 4 knees. Like most teams still throw the ball around a bit, maybe make it closer. That's just super early to give up.
