What I find so F'ing infuriating, is that every website has a TOS. Even if a book or excerpt is NOT behind a paywall, that doesn't mean it's okay to feed your LLMs. Plenty of authors never gave permission and yet here we are.

If people cannot believe that multiple authors experienced harassment from a specific publisher, perhaps an investigation from Writer Beware is warranted and long overdue.

As someone who’s seen Emily’s lies and harassment first hand, I’ll always spread the story of those who’ve suffered from them.

Authors complained for years about trolls posting fake reviews on Amazon/Goodreads, with the company acting like this wasn't an actual problem. But J.D. Vance's new book gets the same treatment and suddenly Amazon/Goodreads takes it seriously. SMDH. www.thedailybeast.com/jd-vance-boo...

It’s Juneteenth. On June 19, 1865, Gen. Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston Island & issued General Order No. 3. It announced that “all slaves are free.” This story of this one event was commemorated through the diaspora of Black Americans for more than 150 years before becoming a national holiday.
