I tried to do a BHM TTRPG jam last year with middling results (I get that ppl are busy, so I am not stressing it). We did get a couple of amazing games from it though! If I did it this year, would ppl be down?

an infuriatingly large portion of the ttrpg playing public are to rpgs what the illiterate are to novels. no, D&D does not offer equal support to "Thrilling Dungeon Adventures" and "Harvest-Moon-Esque Cozy Socialising", and if you think it does I will treat you like you are terminally stupid.

I'm running out of combinations of words in which to express that $60 for a 400 page colour rule book is not overpriced. Same goes for a $35 PDF of said book. This hobby is just too used to and comfy with undervaluing creators and their work.

We have *gotta* stop saying some games are good purely because we like the people who made them if we ever want ttrpgs to be taken seriously as an artform.
