How do I keep ending up running crowdfunding campaigns during convention season? Do I just hate myself? Answers on a postcard.

Experienced an incredible bait-and-switch during a one-shot today. Thought we were playing a Sopranos/ Reservoir Dogs gangster game where we just had to dispose of a body. Was all going well until the GM started injecting Cthulu Mythos into the game. Nobody survived the night.

Hah. We had deckled edges on some of the WFRP collections editions books and also got a bunch of complaints from customers who thought it was a manufacturing error. I love deckled edges, but any time you add them to a project, you gotta be ready for the confusion.

One of those rip-roaring Saturday nights where I sit in blender, sipping coffee and trying to visualise different ways I could convert the built-in wardrobe in my office into a TTRPG reference library. Absolute mad woman over here.

This is a very cool notebook design! An A5 ringbinder that folds into a tabletop lectern I give it ~6 months until we see this design all over the TTRPG sphere being sold and used as combination notebooks/GM screens.

Naaah. I love TTRPGs cause they’re shockingly cheap as a hobby. As a group, buy a corebook for like £40-50 (Like £10 a head). Get some paper, some pencils, some dice. That’s all you need to play games for years without needing anything else. Not everything needs to be a subscription service.

Ran our second playtest of Flintpunk last night. Highlights include: Messed up mutation rituals to get big proboscis needle fingers. Accidentally killing Wee-man and dealing with it via spot-on grim humour. "At least we dinnae have to listen to his greetin any more!' Hunting a queen beastie!

Last week: Elaine is not allowed a cookie unless her project gets 2,000 followers. This week: Elaine is kicked into a pit for not playing RRD games at home. Abuse! Terrible terrible abuse!

Final results this morning. We'll take that. Reform falling way short of the Tories' 31 seats in 2021. Greens outperforming the Tories and arguably Reform as well given that the latter failed to win a single constituency while the Greens secured two for the first time. Labour with a huge black eye.

Weird side effect of the wisdom tooth extraction/infection saga: I couldn't drink coffee for about two weeks, but now I've got it out my system, I've found my energy levels are much more even throughout the day. Gonna stick with decaf for a month and test if this is a fluke or not.

Tonight I ran the first playtest for a personal game I’ve been working on and the PCs were: Lang-thumb: a sleekit and sly lad who kens about dragons. Big-eyes: a nippy witch who kens about spooky stuff. Radge: a mental but jammy sod who kens about making things. We had an absolute riot.

Ended up with an emergency hospital visit cause the site of my wisdom tooth extraction got badly infected and I spent a whole night vomiting from the pain. Not the most fun way to spend a weekend! Update: Tooth removed. Didn’t feel a thing. Made dentist Laugh a bunch with ‘fuck me up, fam!’ and ‘hell yeah lemmie see that tooth!’ They said I’m a great patient, which is a fine and normal thing to be proud of. I’m sure these positive vibes will only remain as the anaesthetic wears off.
