This discussion keeps happening, but ill keep saying it. Because I'm tired of seeing all white table, after all white table. I'm also frustrated seeing majority white table with a single POC. It's entirely possible to put more than 1 person of a colour at a table. You can do it, I believe in you!

Yes, but 😛 For me, being the eldest child of POC immigrants felt like heaps of pressure and zero room for emoting or being human. Everything had to be perfect or it wasn't good enough. Everything was just OKAY AND GREAT. I really resonated with Rei and Asuka.

Happy Latin Heritage Month! This year I really reconnected with my Bolivian heritage through folkloric dance. It's grounded me and filled my heart. Last week, I danced the Diablada. We're the prancing devils, in clothing and masks mocking our colonizers. It's how we find joy in telling OUR story.

#MainQuestCon was fun and for it's very first iteration, did a neat little job. I have much more expectations of it for future years and because it's so accessible to me by public transport (it was held in Rijswijk, just outside Den Haag), I'll definitely be back.

Despite the overwhelmingly supportive response to my anger at Obojima, it seems some folks still really don't understand. I'm going to say this as plainly as possible: You can enjoy Japanese culture, but you cannot make it your own. Japan gives freely of so much of its culture, but it's a loan. 🧵
