A massive thank you to @kiladre.bsky.social for highlighting this. It's a very unnassuming button in the UI, which said "switch careers" and allowed me to access my previous ME3 character, and now I'm pleased to say, I finally have all 3 Mass Effect Platinum trophies 😭

*sigh* finished mass effect 3, 1 trophy left, which required me to do new game +, there were no save slots left, so I was like cool, I'll overwrite one when I click into NG+. Nope, the game overwrote ALL of my manual saves, have no NG+ and can't get my Platinum unless I play 50 hours again.

The flames on the player's candelabra are those same sprites tacked on to the 3D model, which ended up being handy as it meant they were being rendered at a different point in the camera's render pipeline than the 3D geometry.

As I'd posted about previously we ended up using 3D characters that were rendered separately off screen so they could be inserted into the scene as sprites to be lit by unity's 2D lights. bsky.app/profile/osca...
