Help me out: I'm running a fantasy game that's circa 500 BCE, and I'm having some trouble soundtracking it. Any recommedations for albums that are sweeping, epic and fantastical, but not recognisable medieval?

One of my art prints fell off the wall and shattered after the Command Strips failed. You wouldn't think this would have such a big impact on my mood, but I *have* just spent the entire morning blasting dungeon synth and walking around the flat frowning, like my home is a soulsborne game

I was wondering the other day why we don't have a super exciting cyberpunk TTRPG, and then I realised we do, and it's Mothership. ...I just didn't expect them to lock in that crown with this year's Mothership Month, with all the modules set in the same megacity.

Up to date with this, and am really enjoying it - I find myself thinking what Quinns is doing with these heavy games is doing what most these games don't - follow the old screenwriting adage of Turning Exposition Into Ammunition. As such, it's both an intro to the players AND the audience.

And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. You need distance, interval. The way to see how beautiful the earth is, is to see it as the moon. The way to see how beautiful life is, is from the vantage point of death.

Hmm. Not sure what's up with a lot of otherwise attractive-looking TTRPG kickstarters deciding to not tell me much about the game, to the point I can't back it. Is the wisdom that if your wordcount is too big, you'll drive people away?
