A "piece that was killed" is something we hear over and over again working with press promoting Dreams on a Pillow, not just now but across the years. In some cases the content had been fully written & was pulled right before or even after publishing. In others, it never was allowed past concept.

Over a year ago, I had a call with

Important paragraph. This seems to me like cleaning up public image more than any serious step towards stopping support for Israel and until stated otherwise by BDS, the boycott should continue

You can find the campaign at

where Rasheed will have to figure out how to promote a Palestinian-made game about Palestinian history, all while his people face genocide and apartheid. Palestinians are not even allowed to ask the world if it wants to hear their story.

Even if you follow me, you likely can't see my last repost: a Palestinian gamedev working on the lovely Dreams on a Pillow launched a promised follow-up crowdfunding campaign. But
@moderation.bsky.app
labeled him spam for daring to be Palestinian, so you can't see reposts, repost him, or tag him.

If you want to know how the British print news industry ends (which is, de facto, amazingly still what supports most newspaper websites) it's the distribution channels getting banjaxed. When you lose "TG Jones" etc even people who want a paper can't get one. That'll be the real start of the ending.

In May '25, a beloved Australian games website was sold off. It went dark then, a month later, rose from the dead but stuffed full of gambling links and AI authors. It wasn't the first time, or the last time, this exact thing had happened. And it's still happening. My months-long investigation 👇

PERSONAL NEWS: After 13 years working as a (legendary) video producer for

Personal news: I'm leaving my Editor-at-large role at Eurogamer & Gamer Network as part of new cuts. I last year approached my move to Eurogamer & VG247's skeletonization with reluctance, but I ultimately greatly enjoyed giving EG a go. But now after 10yrs & in difficult conditions, it's time to go.
