UPDATE: 10 Chambers has cut a number of roles as part of a "significant restructuring" that has also impacted several of the studio's co-founders. A company representative confirmed the news in a statement to Game Developer and said the studio must reorganise to position Den of Wolves for success.

Ubisoft financials are out. The company has confirmed it will begin the process of hiring leaders to oversee its new creative houses in March. The plan is to target "experienced, respected industry veterans." It also restated plans to reduce headcount at Ubisoft HQ in France by 200 people.

In her latest for Game Developer, @nicolecarpenter.bsky.social asked industry analysts to break down what on earth is going on at Ubisoft and explain why execs are obsessed with two words that always seem to follow layoffs and closures: 'sutstainable growth.'
