The Fighting Fund has been absolutely indispensable so far, helping pay for additional legal costs (e.g. immigration stuff) and some of the bills of our more vulnerable members. We're - to put it very lightly - *deeply* grateful for what people have contributed so far ❤️

I've been hands off on helping organise these so far while I navigate Everything Else but I'll be there on the day mucking in (and hopefully doing some game design 🤞)

If I had one piece of advice for new solo devs it would be this: find a good game like yours and copy their UI. don't design your own UI. you are not as good at UI design as you think you are. in fact you are much worse

I guess now’s as good a time as any to say I started as a Senior Developer at SMG Studio a little over a month ago and I’m having a great time.

I’ve put 10h into Starfield on PS5 and honestly even though there’s still flawed the game is WAY better than it was on launch. I haven’t played since it came out and the last couple years of new stuff has made such a huge impact on the game! I like it a lot!
