Sometimes it can be a bit of a bummer to come back from San Francisco to the grayer winter months here in Saint Paul. That wasn't the case this year! My entire building crew (Cati and the three kiddos) are tucked inside with room to spare. And, with school cancelled tomorrow, we may finish the roof.

There's a pile of housework to do and lots of prep to be done for the upcoming week. On the other hand, it's a gorgeous snowy day and this came in the mail yesterday. I suppose I better work quickly!

Dave's PnP kit builder has been such a boon to the Oath community who have been rapidly assembling and updating their kits (and providing feedback and enthuastim) over the past month while the team takes the game through prepress.

I've been thinking about game budgets a lot over the past couple of years. There are big chunks of the tabletop market that are able to support publishers and designers, and mostly I think its because of a combination of strong crowdfunding communities + cheap dev costs (often less than 50k). 🧵

We've got a massive update for you all about Oath New Foundations. Normally I don't get sentimental about KS updates, but this was the first update we've released since getting all of our staff on board and each and every person on staff contributed to this thing, and I'm just so proud of the team.

I went to a boardgame night this evening at a pretty large brewery in Saint Paul. It's usually pretty quiet on Thursdays but I could barely find parking. When I got there I found out why. The place was packed with folks making protest signs for tomorrow. The atmosphere was infectious and joyful.

It's here! Perfect Tides was one of my favorite games I played last year and I cannot wait to see what's next.

The past several weeks have been dominated by the work of setting up Buried Giant and completing our existing projects (Oath: NF and the WGG reprints). But, we've got an incredible team and I can already feel the schedule relaxing. Heck, I even spent a big portion of this morning working on Arcs!
