Since Pokémon XD doesn't have Home compatibility OR connectivity to FRLG (either of which would have been fine) you should just play Pokémon XG which is a QOL improvement hack of XD that's really good and it's basically a better experience because it's not like that game is Home compatibility either

Pokémon XD being isolated is a major bummer overall. It makes me not really want to bother if my Pokémon are just gonna be stuck in it forever. And it's gonna make completing the Gen III dex a complete nightmare even if they do release Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
