It is 2025. The EHRC in the UK keeps trying to materialize a trans bathroom ban out of a muddled UKSC opinion third-sexing all trans people. A bill to criminalise those who provide trans minors with transition care passed in the US House of Representatives. And cis "allies" still think this helps.

David Brooks has obsessively advocated to criminalize healthcare for trans children. Today we learn Brooks was an alleged associate of Jeffery Epstein, a child trafficking pedophile. One of the first victims of Epstein to come forward was a trans woman that Epstein assaulted when she was a child.

Some areas to watch out for, once this fairly beige report gets endorsed by all political parties and the NHS. How 'complexity' will be defined and assessed, and what extra hurdles will be put before 'complex' individuals.

At its heart, it maintains & reinforces a system built on clinical control of and power over trans communities. There is no effort to improve accountability. No recognition of institutional transphobia. No recognition of clinical violence. Trans community voices are not centred in service design
