The NHS tool for assessing eating disorders is called the "SCOFF" tool. Kids with a potential eating disorder are asked to fill in a 'Scoff' assessment. I'm sorry, WHAT? WHAT? Tools for trans kids are AWFUL & every time I step into other areas of healthcare I'm so dismayed to see similar issues.

Just noticed the NHS trans children study PATHWAYS defines 'gender incongruence' (the 2022 ICD diagnosis) as being a condition that can 'lead to' 'gender dysphoria' (the 2013 DSM diagnosis). They're using the ICD (not a mental health disorder) version as a mild form of transness

Some kids being currently investigated with real threat of forced detransition have stopped eating. Numerous have said categorically death before detransition. Fear & distress is sky high. but don't worry, the NHS is mitigating all risks with a *dedicated phone line*.

The NHS are forcibly detransitioning trans kids in Brighton and calling it “managed withdrawal.” Their own impact assessment acknowledges trans kids will be at increased risk of harm as a result, don’t want this, and are likely to just use DIY hormones instead

I had a university lecturer who was a big time white supremacist. He would have loved this.

These consultations have not taken on board any trans positive feedback related to trans children's healthcare in the past decade. There have been many of them. Don't waste your time lovely people. Repeatedly hitting ourselves in the face with consultations is an act of self-abuse at this point.

FYI the last such review into LGBT health changed its ToR after submissions were completed, to fully disregard every submission on trans children's health and wellbeing. Myself and 20+ individuals who had prepared detailed submissions wasted our time. I expect this will do the same.
