You know what really sucks? Pretty much everyone agreed that the essay was shit, that Fulnecky was doing a grift, and that this whole stunt was likely arranged by OU Turning Point chapter, y'know Charlie POS Kirt's org, deliberately to be a grift. And she still got away with it.

This is an insane situation where a member of a minority explained that a joke was hurtful and ill considered, the mortified artists immediately removed it & apologised and some elements in the media are acting like this is a bad thing.

Just seen another pride and corporations article by the guardian. An awful lot of heterosexual transphobes speaking for gay people and claiming they represent us by declaring we don’t want trans people in the community. I don’t recall being asked because I’d tell them trans people are the community

It's genuinely insane that Ann Widdecombe (a socially conservative religious zealot) sensibly opposed this idea because she opposes trans women being raped. Labour MP Jonathon Pinder called her 'woke'. For opposing rape.

the biggest lie the british press tell about trans ppl isn't actually about trans ppl. it's their claim that 'gender critical' is a grass roots movement. it's a ruling class bigotry sparked and spurred on by the american religious right. it's a media and political class bigotry.

Alice Sullivan tells universities to suppress pro-trans research to protect GC staff. However, HER OWN DATA shows pro-trans research is already more suppressed. When I told the BBC this, they edited out any reference to the data. They have now corrected the record.

Apropos of the BBC front page: The right to free speech means you can (within limits) say what you want to say and the *government* can't stop you. It doesn't mean others can't protest what you're saying, and by that protest make it difficult for you to be heard. That is *also* free speech.

Part of the danger in the media refusing to accurately report 'gender critical' ideology is that some people out there have no idea how extraordinarily disturbed and dangerous the GC hate movement is.

"Life without food noise gave Ellen the space to redesign her relationship with eating." Ellen built other coping mechanisms and kept the weight off. If we look at binge eating as a maladaptive coping mechanism, or 'addiction', it makes sense that weight loss jabs aren't a magic cure.

What I find fascinating is that the jabs also reduce cravings for alcohol & cigarettes. Which implies that they work on the opiate receptors, in the same way as naproxen. Surely we should be treating the root causes of increased appetite, in order to 'rewire' the brain?
