This is something pro-AI politicians donāt seem to be able to grasp. Again, if *I* even rip a CD to MP3, I am breaking the law. But a tech org swallowing down everything it can access and not paying the creators? Yeah, thatās just fine.

Reminder: it is still *illegal* in the UK to rip a legally bought and owned CD to MP3 on your computer. But Google will likely convince the UK govt that every creative endeavour should be available for it to remix and regurgitate, entirely for free. One rule for the public; another for megacorpsā¦

This is a big problem. If the last information people receive is always ānumbers went upā because ānumbers went downā is never reported we shouldnāt be surprised that perceptions about immigration end up so skewed. Media should take some responsibility here - this is a salient and polarising issue.

A majority of GB (not UK) adults always say this in surveys, but like many things a majority of GB adults say, whether it happens or not will have no bearing on what they think of Burnham or the government, nor on how they vote next time (either soon or late). So its not very useful info on its own
