Jus noticed that the last Fesshole show was reviewed, always makes me panic when I hear that, someone's random opinion then, stuck to me like glue, to haunt my every anxiety. But actually it's a perfectly good review. So that's a relief. I'm a "lord of misrule for the digital age"

Roll the clocks back to about 1985 where we in the UK thought about the US President about once a week, when Spitting Image would do a sketch where he set off nukes with his TV remote control.

This David Bowie / Kate Moss pic from 2003 popped up earlier as part of the promo for the Bowie doc she's presenting and it totally suggests an alternative casting for Tennant/Piper era Doctor Who, complete with a strong hint of a Tardis in the back.

This request came in and I thought, I'd give it a go. Not a tour, just book a couple of nights in a tiny club and have a go at it. I think getting the audience to gently row about trivial opinions could be fun. Anyway - grab a ticket. Tufnell Park.

This came in as an opinion submission, and it's not really an opinion, and I don't think I can move it to a fess either, but it does deserve publishing as it it does sound quite terrible, so out it goes, here.

I was talking to a bookshop owner yesterday. He said at the moment people are buying books as gifts instead of for reading, and then people are turning around and giving away the gifted books unread, and this is the entire literary market at the minute

Anyone who writes *chef's kiss" needs to imagine Gordon Ramsay slobbering all over your face, his eager tongue exploring your teeth, every molar, the roof of your mouth, your nostrils, whilst his chest wheezes and the taste of yesterday's Beef Wellington fills your senses.

Found myself reading "1995 In British Television" on Wikipedia and it's such an arbitrary selection of things, some mundane, some extraordinary, I feel I'm watching a whole Adam Curtis documentary in my head.

Just stuck on Blade Runner coz, why not, it's late and it's a mind boggling achievement. Before Blade Runner nothing looked like Blade Runner, after Blade Runner about 20% of all sci-fi ever made looked like Blade Runner.

Barry McGuire's Eve Of Destruction hits horribly hard at the moment. I'd never really felt the emotional power of the song before, it was just a song, that yes sounded great, but was from another time. Now it could be from next week.

I hadn't realised Casio are now making classic looking digital watches but with some new shit in them, like step counters and bluetooth. I'm totally the target demographic for this and I've immediately ordered one. Will report back if I like it or not.

I've had this thought for a while, sort of as a joke, that the Trumposphere will froth themselves into declaring BlueSky a terrorist org and you're all going to have to go back to Twitter. But it sounds more possible by the day.

Sting asks Roxanne to stop advertising her availability for sex work but he never suggest an alternative source of income, which suggests he's more about moral opprobrium rather recognising the economic realities of why people take this job. He's not, I need soup Roxanne, and I'll pay.

With doing the Fesshole gigs it's made me realise that travelling around to work is actually more fun than travelling for a holiday, partly as it's easier to meet people. Venue people are your new colleagues for the night, and the audience, there's always a few who want to hang around and talk.

From hard won experience running votes on B3ta - how to do it in a way that's untrollable: 1. First round allow public to submit anything 2. Second round, have competent editor pick a shortlist where it would be ok if *any of them won*, then public vote Doubt they'll do it right but it's possible

To shock you with my political opinions: Reform and the Tories suck and I believe in voting for whatever to-the-left-of-them candidate is likely to beat them in your local constituency, based on up to the minute polling. Watch my video where I walk around a hedge coz ooh, looks spiky.

Bollocks. My new(ish) favourite YouTuber has come out for Reform. I'm not saying I'll never watch his videos again, who knows, but I was genuinely thinking about joining his Patreon and that ain't happening now.

Twice today I've had sexual nudity in the discovery tab. Made me wonder if the political pressure on BlueSky to be more accommodating to fascists has made them fiddle with whatever algorithm powers that and it's having unintended consequences.

This at some level answers why the Gov have been so weak on this. They want to use it to appease the US with a "no, we're very good on free speech actually, look". Obviously a stupid idea coz the US isn't after free speech, it's after everyone becoming more racist & fascist so they're not an outlier

The sheer eeriness…it should be a bang barge, and it should slither down the canals of England, arriving with a fog as obscure as stone and bone-chilling cold. A single hooded gondolier pushing it along with a stick should summon young men within with a curling, skeletal finger in deathly silence.

Walked past one of those BOSS number plates earlier and it was such a mangled attempt at it, it basically said BBOOOGGGSSS. Like Gollum asking to go to the toilet. I took a photo, but I figure it's owned by the kind of guy who might come round an thump me so you can't see it.

Whilst I think yes, fine, MPs talking to people they represent is a good thing, the maths of this would be insane. Each MP represents on average about 100k people, with 80k being adults. That's 4.5 years of chat with no breaks or sleep.
