I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK

Rewatching Jim Henson's LABYRINTH (1986) for the first time in, gosh, maybe twenty years? The film is a great reminder than Henson wasn't just an amazing puppeteer but an amazing director, too. The moody first encounter with Bowie makes me wish he'd directed at least one straight-up horror film.

Look at the density of visual gags & performer “business” in this MUPPET SHOW number, and all of it elevating the central musical performance. It also is comprised entirely of one-off characters for just this bit. But it radiates effortless fun in a way few modern Muppet bits do.
