would anyone happen to have a source for a replacement vectrex power switch? mine powers on okay but the volume dial is cooked, you can only just hear the game sounds when it's turned all the way to full, no amount of dexoit made much of a difference so it just needs swapping out :(

I repaired this PC Engine which was not outputting any video. The customer mentioned a previous RGB mod which was soldered directly to the motherboard. He purchased a new RGB adapter for the expansion port, and removed the old mod, but the console didn't work anymore 🤯

The amount of tax and duty I paid for this thing was in sane. Let’s hope it works at least🥲

Sometimes at Repair Cafe we get items in that are a pleasure to repair. This was one of those things, a Tomy Super Cup Football Game from the mid-80s. As you can see from this disassembly it's basically a motor driven gearbox. An absolute joy to work on. This was not working due to a motor jam.

Used @pcbwayofficial.bsky.social to print some gears for my PC Engine CD-ROM2. The prints seemed fine and after installation I powered it up and the sled did move fine. Unfortunately, it seems like I have a dead laser. #retrogaming #pcengine

Playstation 2 & Sega Dreamcast RGB Scart cables - CSync - Polymer capacitors - 1.5m double shielded cable

Battery has arrived for the Pokémon cartridge. The (+) pad lifted as I removed the battery. There was flux on the board so suspect this is not the first replacement battery this cartridge has had. Glued the pad back on and soldered a bodge wire back to the resistor. Nothing is ever straightforward!
