Found this by chance, but setting my MiSTer FPGA to use 576p for PAL mode (same as my RetroTink 2X) eliminates the lag. It feels the same as using a real C64, on the same screen with the same joystick. It's spot on.

First time I saw the MiSTer Multisystem 2 (digital version) I hoped it would just sit under my main monitor, but it would feel like an actual games console. It does, and it's AWESOME. As a bonus, it's also compatible with my old Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongles, which I previously had no use for. 😀

TheC64 Mini Black Edition doesn't have quite the same novelty value that the original had. They could have made it look like the Commodore 16, and included some C16 games and the VIC-20 stuff from the last one. 🤔
