This is exactly what it Is about. Wanting to control other people’s lives. It’s not about privacy. It’s not about safety of “women” (by which they mean cis women). It’s about “you better dress and look the way we say you should.” And when we don’t, that is a challenge to them.

I wish more people understood that gatekeeping autistic self-diagnosis is not only _not_ solving the problem they think it is, but it's actively harming a very real, very hidden, very much struggling group of people who need and _deserve_ access to the answers self-diagnosis offers.

Decreasing gender essentialism among cis people is cool, but the big problem is the lack of gender neutral restrooms. It really sucks when the one bathroom I can use is occupied by someone with other options. It's hard to care about cis people having a life lesson when I really need to pee.

Again: they thought they’d win a shattering court victory with the Harry Potter lady’s money, then the public would rise up in gratitude, salute them as heroes and stomp all over transgender people on their behalf. That hasn’t happened, because the public mostly aren’t vicious cranks, like they are.
