Finally finished Such Great Heights: The Complete Cultural History of the Indie Rock Explosion and I really enjoyed it and it reaffirmed a love for a lot of this music and even reminded me of stuff I haven’t listened to in forever. That first Santigold album tho!!! Cheers @chrisdeville.bsky.social

Other than Vampire Weekend, The Killers, and a bit of Modest Mouse, I didn’t grow up with indie rock. I’ve kept up contemporarily pretty well, but I don’t know the history. 72 pages into @chrisdeville.bsky.social’s book, and my playlist of albums I need to listen to has already grown by 20 albums.
