Oil and gas represents only 5% of our GDP. Carney and Smith are investing our money into soon-to-be-obsolete technology just to appease fascist seditionists. We are scheduled to have another record breaking hot summer with some wild fires already raging. This is a terrible, terrible decision.

Important to know – this is *not* a bluff by Signal. They will leave Canada if it's required for them to comply with this bill. This is the same position Signal has had for years in regard to Europe. It couldn't be more firm.

Recently, FamilySearch digitized and uploaded tons of microfilmed records, including many from 18th-century Massachsuetts. They're using some sort of AI to transcribe/summarize the handwritten documents. I've noticed that the AI strips out references to race and enslavement in 18thc documents.

A good cautionary tale for when someone claims that trusting data analysis done with an LLM is good because it’s “objective.” In this example, Copilot apparently decided to ignore the data it was given and just run with all the subconscious biases its (human-made) training data inevitably gave it.

Carney is planning to spend $80B on the military. That is such a huge figure that it's difficult to conceive. If you still think that he is better that Poilievre, you should retire from thinking about politics.
