A Pope is a Pope and will always believe many things I do not believe, but that does not change how absolutely bang-on correct and beautifully articulated this is.

i have no evidence of this but remain convinced that answering this question with conviction is more appealing to more voters, including those who tell pollsters they disagree, than trying to thread any number of needles to find the maximally acceptable answer

A masked man in an armored vehicle, dressed as if he is in the middle of a war zone, training a weapon on unarmed protestors. This is simply incompatible with democratic expression.

Again, please share. In every aspect of American history you will run smack dab into the critical contributions of Black people. It’s not Black history. It’s American history. Trying to erase it is a fool’s errand. We live it every day.

A PhD student at Stanford noticed her classmates were asking Al to write their breakup texts. So she ran a study. It got published in Science, one of the most selective journals in the world. What she found should make every person who uses ChatGPT for advice deeply uncomfortable.

Luhman 16 is a pair of brown dwarfs just 6.5 light-years from us. Despite being the third closest system to the sun it was only discovered in 2013! Both BDs are *faint* and located in a crowded area of the sky making detection difficult.

Notice how the papacy's good acts are all statements and the horrific ones are actual actions and policies with serious resources behind them? The Catholic Church has a massive healthcare network and inflicted a total trans care ban there last year. They're an enthusiastic part of trans genocide:

"This mass denial of care (and, in many cases, forceable detransition) was accompanied, predictably, by an explosion in the suicide rate amoung trans young people." Transphobia is deadly. I just hope cis people still possess hearts and souls sufficient enough to wake up at last and stop this evil.

Yes, it was modestly inconvenient to find a picket line at Durham's REI store today. But REI is proving to be a real pig of a corporation, so in solidarity I bumped the picketers' fists, said "kick ass, y'all" and took my business elsewhere.
