So, anyway, my whole team got cut and the very nice job I've had for the past five and a half years is no more. With the state of the economy and given that I'm no spring chicken, at the emotional level, I feel a bit like this chap here.

Finished Straub’s Ghost Story this morning. 4.5 stars from me. Very well written, great characterization. Pacing is probably a bit slow for some younger, more modern readers but my only quibble with it is the last 25% or so, where it really was a bit slow. #reading #horror #booksky #books #ghosts

First 2 were sci-fi, both average-to-good; second 2 were old classics, both of which were made into movies & both of which get 5 stars from me.
