OMG. I just experienced a U2 apple bug again. My phone started playing that shit instead of something else. Over a decade later that bug is still embedded in so many edge case. With me it happens with voice recorder app. Sometimes your acoustic recording gets replaced with U2 for no fucking reason.

Fucking hell. Lost a bass player this week but gained a new one a day later. Turns out he's fucking brilliant. Absolutely nailed a lot of stuff just improvising. He's notoriously unreliable though according to legend. He was still an hour & half late even though he texted me an hour before the jam!

It's weird how costs have altered music. Fela Kuti had 70 people on the touring team at its peak. Not all those were in the band of course but a huge number of people to move around. It's really hard to do a big band these days.

The funny thing about Hannah Spencer is that she’s literally exactly what everyone pretends they want from politicians in political media: a working class woman who has broken into politics from a normal job, speaking her mind from genuine lived experience. And they fucking hate her for it lol

The n is 1, so let’s not draw actual conclusions. But I seem to be in the minority here for finding “the shooter is normal poster who engages with normal accounts” pretty unsettling, particularly if it’s at all representative of larger trends.

once you know that police are *trained* to shout “put your gun down!” *after* they’ve shot someone, because they know witnesses will remember it happening the other way around, it’s very hard to take paranormal podcasts seriously

It's like when the UK police shot a suspected "terrorist" who was actually a Brazilian tourist running fast to catch his train. They assumed running fast meant he must be a guilty guy.

What even is fake to people these days? Like they could have shot someone by mistake & all kind of fuckery could have kicked off in a panic. The CCTV looks like they saw someone running for the loo because they had diarrhoea but shot them. Was that planned? Uh probably not. Was it dumb as hell? Yes.

Idk man, I think the journalists who have been traumatized the most were not sitting in that room tonight. The feds gassed the shit out of us, knocked us over, sent in the local PD to harass, detain, and hurt us, shot a teenaged photographer in the face and he lost an eye, and that's just in LA

Professional advice. You might be pretty late to arrive on location but don't run this fast when you attend a government dick sucking event staged for the media. They might think you run too fast or something.

Yeah because chatbots are basically role playing games. That's why system prompts have glib things at the beginning like "You are a super helpful assistant." It's all bollocks linguistic probability games really. Chatbots are a clever parlour trick that should never have left the lab.
