Snap stock going up this much over a deal with Perplexity is the low budget version of Oracle & AMD spiking on OpenAI deals. Not quite as bubbly but close. At least, it's at least feasible that Perplexity can afford this deal as opposed to the $1.4T in outstanding commitments that OpenAI has.

Apple is going to pay Google $1B a year to use Gemini to power the new Siri. The 1.2T parameter model surpasses models from Apple Intelligence which currently support 150B parameters. I wonder if Apple will give Google a discount on their $20B/year search deal instead of paying $1B/year for Gemini?

It finally happened: Snap surprised on earnings. A slight beat on revenue ($1.51B vs $1.49B) and DAU (477M vs 476M), but the headline is Perplexity paying $400M to put its chatbot in Snapchat. The wild part? Snap gets paid not the other way around. Surprising, perplexing even.
