Yeah okay the camouflage does not so much work when the grass is still green. When photographing Snowy Owls, this is as much excitement as you want to see! I kept my distance, took just a few photos, and left. (The owl needs its beauty rest! Let it sleep.)

Nazis aside, Twitter's payment model results in a site drowning in KrazyKlips-style content farms full of stolen TikTok content, shock vids, shitty AI video, and lists of cool (but usually false) facts you didn't know—all pushed into your feed by its algorithm. Let's not let that get going here.

2. I never would have predicted then that today many of those same people—now under the loose banner of the Intellectual Dark Web—would align with the evangelical movement that they so despised in an effort to police gender identities and sexual expression, whether in the name of Science, or of God.

The engagement system on this platform feels like old Twitter. My timeline is nothing but positive messages, games, animals, and creative works. All of my posts are exploding with positive replies. Not going back. This rocks.

For some reason people love to inform me that you had to sit for 10+ minutes to get photos in the 1800s. That was really only true in the 1840s and earlier - exposure times got exponentially shorter after that. This is "Kitty playing 'Hide and Seek'", 1871.

When you see a peer-reviewed scientific journal article, it often says “pay $35 to read this.” Did you know that $0 of that goes to the authors of the article? Just email us and we’ll be happy to send you a copy for free. We’re usually thrilled that anyone cares. 🧪🦑🦈
