Good news to share

Got excited about @alice.mosphere.at's Phanpy for Atmosphere fork so I queued up a bunch of PRs over the weekend, and now I'm co-maintaining 😅️ Mostly focused on bugs/UX glitches I'm catching while using it, but there's a lot we can do to make this more Atmosphere-centric.

bluepy (bluepy.mosphere.at), your favorite mastodon client's atproto port is now officially co-maintained by @quillmatiq.com

Open web for the win. I'm saying this since always, have your own website, and domain. Platforms come and go, I have experienced it myself with Medium, Wordpress, etc.

Mythos' underwhelming results for curl are a great example of why Open Source is even more important now that we have access to these tools. curl is more secure because everyone can tinker with it. We should be doubling down on Open Source rather than closing projects in panic.

I think if you're saying "atproto doesn't need a ____" then you're missing the point. Let people build the things they want to see in the ecosystem that they, themselves, will use. We don't need ten things shaped the exact same way, we need every type of shape.
