Pushed out an update to testflight ✈️! Mostly a bunch of small fixes and polish. We also added favs to comments 💜 Hoping this will be one of the last releases before submitting to the app store. Let us know if you have any issues ✌️

New build out in testflight. You can now try the new For You feed in the app! The For You feed takes into account your interactions in grain to show you suggested galleries based on your favs and favs of people you follow inspired by @spacecowboy17.bsky.social's For You feed. Also translations!

I like Retro and I've gotten lots of people onto it, but it's not a very good alternative to Instagram, but a rad way for me to get friends who've sworn off social back to sharing cozily. @grain.social on the other hand might be a solid ig replacement for me.

What if Flickr never got acquired and went on to figure out mobile is how I might describe @grain.social You log in with your Bluesky (or other atproto) account. It's beautiful on the web and the latest iOS beta is outstanding. testflight.apple.com/join/ju9eXf6m

@grain.social appears to be exactly what I was looking for: an ATProto Instagram alternative with independent follow stats, where photos don't show on your Bluesky profile and vice versa. It's missing some IG features, of course, but it really gives old Instagram vibes.

I think @grain.social has the juice. It’s so refreshing to have a timeline that allows you to see new posts, and when you’re done, you can just go about your day. No engagement algorithm, just awesome photos in a clean app. 👏👏

We’re probably going to ship out a new TestFlight build tomorrow. Doing some testing this weekend to make sure it’s ready. Lots of improvements! Also a better stories experience ie better awareness of what you’ve already viewed etc
