yeah, Leaflet discover is like early (small user count) bluesky in that there a fun variety of things but since not too many people are posting yet, it's not overwhelming

The @leaflet.pub editor is surprisingly usable on mobile as a PWA! WE LOVE TO SEE IT

One thing I really like about being part of early days on #leaflet is that I am atop the "Recently Published" section of the Reader for a non-trivial amount of time after posting. Does a lot to help you feel like you're not shouting into the void.

I see a huge opportunity for how the AT Protocol could reshape academic publishing. Imagine researchers publishing continuously and atomically — before, during, and after research projects — in public connected continuous streams of discovery and insight.

i love ATProto and the ATmosphere 🤍 so cool & rewarding to see an app i built (@anisota.net) interoperating with multiple other apps on the same network, and seeing people talking about their experience of that interoperation via the interoperation itself (like in the comments on @leaflet.pub)

Publications in Leaflet now support polls! Could be great for some interactive fiction experiments 📖👀

In case you've missed it: • Bluesky is unique because its underlying social protocol (ATProto) is fully open • this means anyone can build anything on top of it • @leaflet.pub is a doc publishing/blogging platform you can log in to with your existing details, and it's *awesome*!

Update: we made a few changes to help clarify that votes on polls are *public*: - a note that votes are public before you vote - a toggle to see the results before you vote - a popover to show who voted for what on the results page Let us know if you have further feedback on how polls work!

We've got a new block: POLLS! And we'd love for you to test it out by voting on the top block you'd like to see us add — we've got a shortlist, but comment if there's another you'd put first :) Coming soon: publishing standalone docs to atproto, to more easily make one-off polls for anything!

I have moved to the stage where I will actively experiment with @leaflet.pub as my main publishing platform I happily used Ghost for years, but AT Protocol simply has a lot more potential to transform how people write, read, and discuss online

ONE of these two new features: canvas pages in publications! This works mostly the same as in standalone leaflet docs, but in published posts, canvas now has quotes / comments too! Need to test more; give it a try & reply with any examples you make :) WIP: publishing standalone docs & canvases!

I mean this with love, but I hope @leaflet.pub has an "Anyone Can Write Anything On Medium.com So Please Consider My Opinion" era.

Something that will be fascinating to see is @leaflet.pub once AT Protocol supports private data Paywalls already exist, but augmented with the social features of Leaflet, I'm sure radically new features will emerge

it's interesting to see people playing around with information chunking and hierarchies in published documents the way you can with unpublished text, because that lets you build your information presence out organically rather than trying to organise everything in advance

It is incredible to see how much been iterated upon with Leaflet at such a small time scale and with relatively so few users. Imagine what happens when it's not a small niche implementation of ATProto but effectively a canonized companion app to Bluesky.
