If it's a supply shock, you will have to look through it but if you say it changes the neutral rate, you cut rate with it

if we talk about where the neutral rate is so much, we also have to talk about what the distance to neutral (say 100 bps)from neutral can mean. In a economy that can withstand tariffs, maybe the reaction function is very flat. Or maybe because of the tariff, the reaction function is very steep now
