The ‘share collection’ button is now also visible on mobile. Overall mobile layout does need more work but at least sharing is easier again.

Things you can do with the kip command line tool; have your agent read all the stuff you bookmarked (so you don’t have to), delete all those craft projects you bookmarked but never got around to, search all bookmarks tagged recipe and then build a randomizer to help decide what to eat tonight 🍳

Ok trying something for kipclip.com, I've made a kipclip cli: tangled.org/tijs.org/kip... it works independently of the kipclip web service e.g. it talks directly to your PDS fetching records from there so even if you do not use the website you could still use the cli for managing your bookmarks

Kipclip.com now returns tags in search as well. You can search for specific tags, use tag:<your tag> right in the search, and tapping a tag updates the search accordingly. I think this works pretty well but definitely open to suggestions

You can now mark articles in your reading list as 'read'. the implementation is simple; articles with the 'toread' tag end up in your reading list, when you mark them read the toread tag is removed and a read tag is added. This way the status is updated in the data on your own PDS including history

Did some more stress testing and I *think* that bookmark importing is now pretty solid. Do give it a try when you can! (and let me know if you find any room for improvement)

Every bookmark now has an "Archived version" link that points to the Wayback Machine. If a snapshot exists, you can read the page even if the original goes down. If not, archive.org offers to save it for you. Small feature, but useful when you're browsing old bookmarks and links have gone stale.

Updated the kipclip.com login screen to use similar wording (Connect with your Atmosphere account) as npmx.dev, and added a "Connect with Bluesky button" which is a nice improvement. Let's make this Atmosphere thing happen!

For kipclip.com, I solved the 'register for an account problem' if you want to target people new to the atmosphere with a register page linked to from the login screen, that links to a few of the bigger 'pds account providers'. Happy to get feedback on this kipclip.com/register first stab at this..

and I finally published our lone custom lexicon for our tag cache lexicon.garden/lexicon/did:... which is a good thing I think..

I've refreshed the bookmark card design to feature nice fat buttons instead of the finicky buttons we had previously. should make it easier to navigate (and includes aria props!)

And just as a bit of extra sparkle ✨we also added a search feature to the site 🔎

Kipclip should now support full PWA mode not just on iOS but also on Android. I don't have an Android device myself though so I could only test the OAuth setup in a Chrome app. If anyone would be willing to check it out on Android that would be great kipclip.com/tools

Checking out kipclip.com by @tijs.org. Something I've been wanting for a while is a pinboard alternative built on #atproto. I like that this one is built on a community schema (@lexicon.community) for PDS storage, as opposed to @rito.blue. I wonder if the community lexicon will become standard?

Phase 2 in reader features just landed! You can now have your saved articles (tagged with 'toread' or another tag of choice) be automatically sent to your @instapaper.com account. Great if you have your Instapaper setup for syncing with your Kindle or Kobo ereader for instance 🐔

New kipclip.com feature dropped! You can now read all your articles (links tagged with 'toread' or another tag of choice) in a new Reading list view which will show just those bookmarks and give them a bit more space. This is a first phase in some more upcoming reader specific improvements...

We now only request the permissions we actually need for the app to function when you login. Making the bookmarking world a bit safer for everyone 🐔

This does mean you might need to re-authenticate btw, but this too should be faster now 😘🐔

Ok cool @kipclip.com news! I've just completed a migration to a much improved hosting setup. With instances in both US and EU which means the service is now a LOT faster than before. We truly went from hobby to pro level, and I can now scale this thing up as big as I want (or can afford 😅). Enjoy!

Images and the oauth metadata json file are now served from bunny cdn. Especially that last one should make specifically login much faster than it was previously! 💨

Inspired by the work from @nickthesick.com for @bookhive.buzz who was in turn inspired by @jakelazaroff.com Kipclip now also has the cool handle autocomplete feature on the login page that all the cool atproto kids have! Happy url collecting ❤️
