NEW BLOG! After closely following atproto permissioned data, my take: what if an "atproto repository" is the base thing and there's more than one way to sync it? Based on @ipv.sx's take and grounded in a real-world Streamplace use case: how do I make a video private, then public?

FYI: Streamplace isn't vulnerable to the PixelSmash ffmpeg vulnerability announced yesterday. (We don't use the insecure magicyuv decoder, you see.) We're pushing out an update anyway with the latest ffmpeg version as a precautionary measure, but you may continue Streamplacing without fear.

VOD Jam tip: HLS is supported by a lot of browsers natively these days but not all of them. I'd recommend including and using HLS.js to maximize compatibility (I think this is the root cause of a lot of the "doesn't work in Firefox" reports)
