Some very exciting news - it looks like the working group for AT Protocol at the IETF has been approved! (though not formalized in the datatracker just yet) This is a big milestone in the standards process. But is also just the start of the actual process - years of meetings & work ahead!

that's a fair critique. it may help that the full name for the primitive is "permission space" if it's unclear what you're referring with "space" in a particular context, you can differentiate with "social space" or "permission space"

blacksky.community runs completely independently from Bluesky although it integrates with and builds on their work (the Authenticated Transfer Protocol aka atproto) @blackskyweb.xyz as a company is supported by voluntary members subscriptions.

XRPC requests between atproto servers are authenticated using JWTs. There are some inconsistencies in how OAuth permissions, PDS proxy headers, and JWTs all represent the "audience" of these tokens. This proposal gives background and describes a rough solution. Looking for rapid feedback!
