Overwhelming to hear about how much the AT community showed up today at IETF. I wish I could've been there. I'm sure many people deserve special thanks, but I do want to highlight @bmann.ca for helping to get people there. I feel so fortunate to be a part of such a great group of people.

Kind of cool that on a day that the site is celebrating democracy, the AT protocol community is at IETF helping to form shared governance for the specs!

Kit update! She's okay. It was in fact an abscess on her butt, which I know we can all relate to. Doc says she should recover fine and that she will feel immediately better, though she is going to have to wear the cone of shame. We are very relieved. Will go pick her up soon.

Pay attention to the ATProto community in addition to Bluesky the platform. @leaflet.pub, @tangled.org, @stream.place, @germnetwork.com are doing some amazing stuff with the protocol, and the real vision is starting to come to life.

This is a fun chart! The green is the main bsky load balancer traffic throughput from Saturday night, and the purple is how much traffic there was 7 days before (the previous Saturday) The spike is due to the world series - pretty incredible! ⚾

At the vet rn because Kit has some kind of painful swelling on her lower back that started suddenly on thursday. They couldn’t examine because it was too painful and now we’re going to need to put her under full anesthetic. Trying not to worry

Short version because people aren't reading the blog - "dislikes", essentially just a "not interested" button, private, doesn't effect anyone but yourself - "Social proximity", puts people you know at the top of comments - "Reply context", shows people full thread before they reply
