visiting a bunch of software company home pages as research for a thing, and... I have no idea what these companies do. we've hit a new level of buzzword soup that I can't parse anymore. "build at the speed of thought" — build WHAT? "AI-powered" to do WHAT? "agentic workflows" WHAT IS YOUR APP?

my only defense against this (and it doesn’t always work — I’ve burned out and fallen into the pit before) is remembering that I still have agency over how I engage with the stuff I don’t want to do, and I find things that are fun for their own sake that I can do to accomplish the thing I don’t like
