yesterday @cassidoo.co taught me how to use the Copilot CLI. we built a small API to let people vote on which of us is funnier (obviously me), then created a Twitch bot that used the API to let you all add votes live — pretty cool stuff happening here watch the episode: codetv.dev/series/learn...

i think the atproto dev community deserves a spotlight - one of the official sdks are typescript! also shouts out to @jason.energy and everyone else involved in this: bsky.app/profile/code... (which helps me shout out @potch.me and @mewtru.com too)

my way of having joy despite what's happening right now is advocating for atproto, saying that i have hope for better platforms, in a space where it was always meant for us to connect, against the platforms that keeps our voices muted it's not a lot, but it's something

I don't want to live in a world where we forget how to be kind to each other and that seems to be the goal of those who want to control us.

this feels accurate. there's always a group looking for ways to get the benefits without doing the work, and big shifts create a lot of room for this group to double down on that approach before the majority catches up and spots them for charlatans again

a lot of things beyond my control are terrible right now, and I'm responding by trying not to lose small joys in my life. pushing pixels around has always been something I love to do, and today it kept me from doomscrolling

the project I don't have time for but can't stop fiddling with is making progress! improved the UI for @codetv.dev: - updated home page with improved series cards - consolidated a bunch of UI to a unified Card component - improved series headers - added "details" and "extras" I'm pleased with it 💜

a reminder that if you're feeling like everyone is mad at you and you're screwing everything up, the fastest fix is to get on the phone or meet in person. chat/email loses too many cues (tone, body language, etc.). if you're already worried you're in trouble, it's easy to imagine anger when reading
