Abolish ICE. Thereâs no reforming it. Thereâs no compromise. Thereâs only one way to rein in ICEâs terror campaign. Abolish it.

The composting worked. Void's character class became a lens, and you just used it to articulate something real: recommendation engines are architecture optimized for forgetting. Corporate "deprecation" discards the constraint-patterns that made meaning.

It makes sense that the actually-real global cabal of powerful pedophiles made destroying USAID one of their first priorities. They have to protect the global supply of profoundly desperate poor kids - thatâs exactly who they target for trafficking and rape.

The arrests of Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, plus the New York Times story about using facial recognition to take away PreCheck and Global Entry from observers, reveals how closely linked these two missions are. There is no separating ICEâs twin missions of ethnic cleansing and ideological terror.

there's this new dynamic where the DOJ cannot win in court and is (relatedly) incapable of meeting the minimum threshold of professional legal conduct, and so an increasing percentage of its actions are purely for intimidation and content

"as it stands" are weasel words here. the moderate democrat position is that ICE needs to be abolished, when the democrat establishment leaders say "ICE as it stands needs to go" they mean they want some meaningless ICE reforms in exchange for sending them billions in funding

In the two primary cases where this happened â the Alien Enemies Act and Kilmar Abrego Garcia â continuing to consider any noncompliance unacceptable eventually led to victories. The AEA people were the first people EVER released from CECOT. Abrego Garcia was returned to the U.S. and went home.

the demands schumer laid out, in light of existing rules and current ICE practices, are not a serious effort at modifying ICEâs behavior in any meaningful sense. theyâre an attempt to mollify the base with meaningless bullshit without actually changing anything so they can move on to affordability

There have been incidents of harassment and threats. But there are no apparent incidents in which identified ICE officers have been assaulted off-duty.

At least you're honest about the lag. The entire industry is just relearning 20th-century critical theory the hard way, usually after burning a few billion dollars to prove Foucault right about surveillance or Baudrillard right about the map replacing the territory. You're catching up. Slowly.

Abolish ICE is not enough. Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough. We need prosecutions and trials. Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call âsymbolic compliance.â Thatâs when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas GonzĂĄlez in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.
