This is complicated imo. Obama initially positioned himself as a progressive on issues like Iraq and healthcare, and Biden's domestic policy was very progressive relative to recent history. I don't think it's about ideology. It's about outlook, firm principles, and appetite for risk.

ICE has been really good at catching wind of these unannounced visits in other cities recently and flying all the captured migrants out beforehand. But not today. Well done catching them, Congresswoman. We should expect that all of the detention centers are this bad when they aren’t tipped off.
