Its that time of year again where I proclaim the best story about a boy wizard, who is an orphan, with a pet owl, with glasses, with a vocational surname, that talks to snakes, written by a problematic author - is not that one.

There seems to be some sort of logical fallacy at work here. I'm going to call it "transcriptionism"... it's as if some people think all the knowledge is already out there in some sort of grand transcript and all that's needed is better indexing and reading tools to look it all up.

This is absolutely an amazing resource, and just to tack on if you've always thought about donating to a local food bank but haven't done it before, just drop them an email. They will tell you what they need and they will be delighted to hear from you.

ahahahahaha yes Labour Together you should definitely set fire to Labour's workers' rights agenda just as the country's biggest trade union votes for a leader who thinks you're shit. that's definitely a good idea. (I don't think for one moment that the govt will actually do this)

It is backwards in a way. The amount of people I know of a certain age who *start* claiming when they are old and infirm, saying something like āIāve put in all my lifeā, right but if youād claimed a bit more when you were younger maybe youād not be as infirm now you are old and would cost less

And this is yet another reason why they should have bitten the bullet and raised income tax, because it means there would be less incentive to delay projects like this.

I'm sickened by the level of anti-doctor feeling levelled by govt, sections of the press, and by a portion of the public. Medics are not greedy - they're intelligent people with options. They want to help people; they just need a wage they can live on. 2020 is clearly a distant memory. For shame.

Labour as a government is fundamentally racist and xenophobic. Yes, you absolutely can say that a Reform or Conservative government would be worse for people, but you're still arguing over which flavour of racism you are prepared to swallow for a quiet life. 1/7
