What's funny, I grew up reading GI Joe and Iron Man before any other books. So MM felt second tier to me. She's pretty much the same as The Baroness, but without her complicated love for Destro, or just crazy joyous violence.

Both fans and creators over-emphasize the conceptual and functional level of superhero characters way too often and forget that Mister Freeze was a forgotten D-lister until Batman The Animated Series gave him a really compelling PERSONALITY and MOTIVATION. That goes for a lot of DCAU characters. 6/
