I've seen Chuck Berry, The Who, Stones, Public Enemy, Lolaplooza, STP, Chilli Peppers, Billy Joel, Greg Kin, and many, many others. BUT My favorite show ever was my first Uncle Tupelo concert at the Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri.

My ex-wife took me to see the Cure in 2004 at the Home Depot Center (now called Dignity Health, I believe) in Los Angeles. Despite not really knowing much of their catalog, I became an instant convert. What an unforgettable experience. And it was a definite experience! Huge fan ever since.

When I finally got to see Pixies with the original line up, in the early 00s, it was something of a religious experience for me. I've seen lots of bands I've been cool on give amazing live performances, and bands I love be absolutely awful on stage, too.

I could not ever pick one. Nirvana, Afghan Whigs, the Make-Up, Bikini Kill, Pixies all come to mind but I have seen so many incredible artists live. I've been really lucky.

Alicia Keys. St. Vincent. Dave Matthews Band there for a while. Each were a favorite at the time, but that's the 1-2-3 list.

I saw her perform twice in 2005; once at Coachella and again a few months later at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. The woman is beyond brilliant! Some of my best memories are at these 2 shows.

They Might Be Giants. The best part was when they played "Fingertips", and everyone in the crowd kept dancing and stopping perfectly on cue!

I've only ever seen one band live, and that was Ghost. However, the two concerts I went to rewired my brain. It was truly amazing and made me completely change my opinions on concerts. I'd never gone to them because it didn't seem worth it. I was wrong. It is SO worth it for the right bands.
