I need to stop goofing around with my website. Today grabbed a JavaScript that will convert Markdown to HTML. Why would I do this? So that a persistent .txt file lives on my site, with what I'm currently watching, reading, playing, etc. Super easy to update.

I'm going to keep tweaking my website off and on, and not update anyone when I do. I tinkered with the CSS last night and this morning. Added a widget for Cult of the Drive-in. And I've done a few more back-end tweaks to make my social feeds look better on the site.

The Genesis Model 3 was not great. There were certain cartridges you just couldn't run on it, like Super Street Fighter II. You'd just get a red screen. However, the six-button controllers that came with it were pretty nice (not pictured in quoted post). Anyway, I'm going PSOne.

From a design perspective, I really dislike "grunge" fonts. If every single instance of a letter looks the exact same, with the exact same wear-and-tear, it just comes off as artificial. Just type out the word(s) in a normal font, load it into your photo editor of choice, and smudge it yourself.

I think I want to reclaim the word "slop" from AI. "Slop" is my guitar playing. "Slop" is how I draw. It's janky and imprecise. But it's wholly, inextricably human. It is not some server bank, trying to replicate what humans make. It's real, wrought by my own hands.
